Gorgo is asleep on the hoard. He wakes up the way he does in the game when a hero gets too close.

House rules

  • Save the fire for the whole gang

    Fire too early and half the gang walks in afterwards. In between, about every half minute, you make one quick choice, never between more than three cards.

  • “No shoes in the dungeon”

    This run's house rules: no shoes (heroes walk 10% slower), a gate that sticks for two waves, and a tenants' meeting worth +5% damage per neighbor. The next run deals different ones.

  • Rent comes in while you sleep

    Upgrade the Kitchen and the Treasure Hall and the rooms keep collecting for hours after you close the game. Gorgo approves.

  • Gorgo keeps the change

    Lose a run and the gold and shards still go into the hoard.

Gorgo just wants to nap on his gold.

So the old, stingy dragon rents the dungeon's rooms to monsters, and they pay the rent by defending the hoard from greedy adventurers. By wave 20 the dungeon is usually stranger than anything we planned, and the villain is you.

Being a good landlord

  1. Rent the rooms

    Place monster tenants along the path the adventurers take to the gold.

  2. Time the fire

    Your tenants fight on their own. You hold Gorgo's breath until the whole raid is in the room, then roast them all at once.

  3. Evolve the tenants

    Two monsters of the same family get a bonus. Draw the right house rule and one evolves: with Spare Bones the Skeleton becomes a Lich Sharpshooter, and slain heroes get up on your side for five seconds.
